Edu institutions forced to close in east Nepal
JHAPA, MAR 15 - Educational institutions have been shut in nine districts in eastern Nepal due to the strike imposed by Sanghiya Vidyarthi Union affiliated with Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajya Parishad (Palungwa).
The student body has demanded a proportional election system in the Federation of Students Union, and declaration of one of its activist as martyr.
Schools and colleges in Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, Taplejung, and Sankhuwasabha have been closed down since Sunday.
