Docs take to indefinite shutdown of TUTH
KATHMANDU, MAR 15 - Doctors at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) have called for an indefinite shutdown of the hospital services except the Inpatients and theEmergency departments from Monday.
They took to the strike accusing the Institute of Medicine (IoM) Dean's Office of being involved in irregularities in the recently held entrance examination for admission in the Post Graduate studies. The IoM had conducted the examination on Saturday and Sunday for 100 seats in the post graduate level. Around 2000 students had applied for the examination.
However, the students had boycotted the examinations accusing the Dean and Assistant Dean of leaking the questions for Rs. 12 million in bribes.
