Sahukhala struck in the stroke of half time (45+2th minute) and Ajan K.C. added another on 64th minute as Three Star Club climbed two places up to sixth, one place above Trihuvan Army Club, who shared a point from their 3-3 draw against Boys Union Club in the first match of the day. At the other end, Anjan K.C. played a quick one-to-one pass with Sahukhala and scored from close range, doubling the advantage for Three Star on 64th minute.
In between, Jocelyn Morgan Pierce missed a free header from Mumbara’s corner before Pradeep squandered a simple tap-in from Bijay Gurung’s pass.
Laxmi Shrestha, who was denied by the upright earlier in the game, combined again with Yogesh, but this time Laxmi was the provider, and Yogesh scored from close range to reduce the deficit for Jawalakhel, taking his personal tally to five in the league. Jawalakhel were reduced to ten-man after substitute Ajay Thapa, who had entered on 31st minute, was sent for two yellow cards.
Earlier, Ashim J. Karki scored in stoppage time as Boys Union held Tribuvan Army 3-3.
Karki scored from outside the penalty box in first minute of stoppage time (90+1) just as Army Club looked headed to bag three points with a goal advantage.
