KATHMANDU, MAR 14 - The Kathmandu District Court (KDC) on Sunday sent three persons accused of close links with media entrepreneur Jamim Shah's murderers to judicial custody for further investigation.

Those sent to judicial custody are Sub-inspector Prakash Chhetri, Kishor Khadka and Laxman Dhamala. The three were arrested from Kathmandu in connection with connection with the killing.

Only on Thursday, government lawyers moved the KDC against five persons for their involvement in the killing. In addition to SI Chhetri, Khadka and Dhamala, others facing trail in the high-profile murder include former Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagdish Chand and Shree Krishna Poudel.

During police interrogation, Khadka had confessed that he had thrown the weapon used in Shah's murder into the Bishnumati River and another weapon was given to former DSP Chand. DSP Chand and Poudel are still on the run.

Investigations have indicated that SI Chhetri, Khadka and Dhamala worked in tandem with Shah's murderers. It has already come to surface that an Indian gangster Deepak Shahi alias Babbu plotted Shah's killing under the direction of Indian jailbird Babloo Shrivastav.
