KATHMANDU, MAR 13 -
The ruling CPN-UML on Saturday said that the party can call back its ministers if they failed to perform.
In a press meet organised by the UML at its party headquarters in Balkhu to inform about the Central Committee decisions today, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said,"If the ministers breach the party's code of conduct and fail to perform, they will be called back."
State Minister for Home Rizwan Ansari was directed to resign as he made statements at the Reporters Club by breaching the party code, Khanal said.
Minister Ansari had tendered his resignation on Wednesday saying that the Home Minister could not maintain law and order in the country and did not allow him carry out his duties.
Both Home Minister Bhim Rawal and Ansari are from the UML.
