KAPILVASTU, MAR 13 -

Police held a man in possession of narcotics substance brown sugar from Gajehada VDC in Kapilvastu district on Friday.

Local Raj Kumar Harijan has been arrested with 19 shells of brown sugar in course of conducting a search, said the police.

Harijan has been sent to Pipara Police Post for further investigation, said Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Force Naresh Kumar Poudel. The patrol team of the APF arrested four persons with drugs and three persons with weapons during the last three days in the district.

Meanwhile, a patrol team of the APF deployed from Pipara Base Camp seized a gun from the jungle of Banganga VDC-9 in the district. Police said two persons had fled by leaving the gun after the police team reached in the jungle area.
