Power-cut reaches 12 hrs per day

KATHMANDU, MAR 12 -
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the daily load shedding time by an hour from Friday. Now the power will be cut off for 12 hours a day.
Earlier, people were facing 11 hours of power outage a day.
According to the NEA, the load shedding hours have been extended as electricity generation has been reduced due to fall in water level in the rivers and reservoirs.
Meannwhile, Energy Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the load shedding hours would not exceed 12 hours a day.
