Hospital understaffed

NEPALGUNJ, MAR 12 - Doctors at the Bheri Zonal Hospital on Thursday urged Health Minister Umakanta Chaudhary to fill the vacant posts at the health facility and add new equipment to ensure better health service to the public. The medicos apprised Chaudhary of the situation during his visit to the hospital. “If the government meets our demands, many of the patients will not have to go to private hospitals or India for treatment,” said Dr. Bimal Dhakal, chief of the hospital. In response, the minister expressed his commitment to address the hospital's plight. Twenty-two posts, including that of doctors, have remained vacant since long.
