CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said on Thursday that the country’s political situation is at a serious and complex juncture and the party needs to play a vital role in resolving the crisis.
Speaking at the UML Central Committee (CC) meeting at the party headquarters in Balkhu, Khanal said the UML should be taken ahead in a more united and strong manner in order to face the challenges in the coming days.
The UML CC meeting endorsed various decisions taken by its Standing Committee and Politburo with various suggestions.
The party has approved leader Bishnu Rijal as its parliamentary department chief, Pradeep Gyawali as publicity department chief and Beduram Bhusal as its school department chief. Similarly, the meeting has also decided to propose Bishnu Rijal as the UML vice parliamentary party leader.
Also today, the meeting charged its standing committee with the responsibility to take final decision on the directive of the Youth Force (YF), the party’s youth front.
The meeting has also directed its standing committee to hold discussion with concerned sides regarding parallel structures formed in various districts and take the final decision after studying the reports prepared by the taskforces.
Earlier, the party had formed different panels to look into the problems that surfaced due to the formation of parallel committees in various districts.
