KAILALI, MAR 10 -

Educational institutions remained closed across Kailali district on Wednesday due to schoolteachers' educational strike against Tuesday's police crackdown on their sit-in at the District Education Office.

The teachers were protesting irregularities in the appointment of teachers in certain schools under relief quota. They have said the strike will continue unless District Education Officer apologises publicly and pledges to solve educational problems facing the district.
