KATHMANDU, MAR 10 - Tension ran high in Gatthaghar area in Bhaktapur, when a bus rammed a motorcycle and killed its rider on Wednesday evening.
Kedar Datheputhe, resident of Bhaktapur-9, went under the wheels of the four-wheeler while trying to overtake. He breathed his last while being ferried to Bir Hospital for treatment.
Both the motorcycle and bus were heading to Bhaktapur from Kathmandu.
Following the accident, irate locals and victim’s kin obstructed the road. Police, however, managed to prevent the protestors from setting fire on the bus.
Three police personnel were injured in the clash.
Bus driver Ramji Siddha Kala and the bus are under the police control.
