DHARAN, MAR 10 -
A 24-year-old woman who was kidnapped 12 days ago was found dead at Thumkidanda near Bhedetar on Wednesday morning. Police said she was gang-raped and murdered.
The victim is identified as Meena Subba, resident of Namje of Panchkanya-6. Locals found her body in a rotten condition at a jungle in Thumkidanda this morning.
Police had arrested Sujan Shrestha, Mukesh Magarati and Sudeep Shrestha on suspicion of her abduction and rape three days ago.
During interrogation, the trio admitted that they gang-raped Subba. But they said they left her at the jungle.
The three were heading to Bhedetar on a car when they saw an injured Subba, and abducted her saying that they would take her to her home.
Police said the three will face abduction, rape and murder charges.
