New govt possible if Maoists shun violence: UML Chair
KATHMANDU, MAR 06 -
Chairman of the ruling CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal said on Saturday that the new government can take shape if the Maoists commit themselves to shed their 'violent behaviour'.
The UML is ready to form the new government if the Maoists abide by the past pacts, return the seized properties and facilitate the army integration process, the UML boss said.
Speaking at a programme in the capital today, Khanal said the same was his proposal in the ongoing UML Central Committee meeting.
While saying that the constitution writing process was moving forward even amid different obstruction and hindrances, the UML chair stressed on the need to move together by shelving the inter-party suspicion.
