Oli changes tone, floats three conditions for Maoist-led govt
NARAYANGADH , MAR 03 -
Senior CPN-UML leader KP. Sharama Oli on Wednesday floated three conditions before the UCPN (Maoist) for the formation of a new government under its leadership.
Leader Oli, who arrived here in Bharatpur to hold discussion with his party cadres today, however ruled out the possibility of forming the Maoist-led government unless the Maoists fulfill the three conditions.
Leader Oli said the Maoist should joint the peaceful politics by abandoning the violence, embrace constitutional process by giving up revolt and forceful ways, and convert itself as a civilian party by shedding their military outlook before the change of government leadership.
"Maoist should not spread the rumor of new coalition government," said Oli adding, "Maoists are welcome to join the incumbent coalition government." He said that no one could stop the Maoists from forming the new government if they can show a majority in the House.
Oil expressed his belief that the ongoing meeting of three party mechanism could sort out the mistrust and inter-party differences.
