KATHMANDU, MAR 01 - Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation of Nepal (PABSON) has threatened to launch a protest if the government fails to address its 11-point demand, including tax waiver, declaration of schools as a zone of peace and a separate Act for private educational institutions.

PABSON President Bhoj Bahadur Shah informed at a press meet in the Capital on Monday that the government has 15 days to meet the demands. He said schools will announce a series of protests if the state fails to allay their concerns before PABSON's 10th general convention scheduled on March 5-7 in Bhairahawa.

Shah said PABSON will also hold intensive talks with education experts and government officials on Education Act and Regulation, scholarships, recruitment, facilities and licence for teachers of private and boarding schools, and restructuring of the education sector.
