28 injured in Bhaktapur bus accident
BHAKTAPUR, MAR 01 - At least 28 passengers have been injured when a bus heading for Kamalbinayak met with an accident at Chareli in Bhaktapur on Monday morning.
According to Inspector at Metropolitan Police Division Bhaktapur Deepak Dhungel, the ill-fated bus (Ba 2 Kha 3537) suddenly moved when the driver left it started in order to pick up passengers. Among the injured, two persons are said to have sustained critical injuries.
The injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals including B&B Hospital, Kathmandu Medical College and Bhaktapur Hospital.
The injured have been identified as Ganga Subedi, Sangita Nepal, Ganesh Nepal, Rita Dangol, Usha Sapkota, mMiya Sundas, Tirtha Raj, Bhagawati, Sitaram, Manisha, Anita, Sita, Sharmila, Bhimprasad Timalsena, Saraswoti Puri, Sanat Puri, Jayram Adhikari,. Balkrishna Sapkota, Krishna Bahadur Pariyar, Santu Lama, Anita, Sunita Sapkota, Shyam Krishna Dangol, Mandira Lama, Juna Gautam, Sunita Lama, among others.
A majority of those injured have returned home after first-aid treatment.
