PARSA, FEB 28 -

A person was killed when robbers opened fire at the villagers who tried to retaliate them at Bishrampur VDC in Parsa in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Police identified the deceased as Jayakrishna Yadav of Bishrampur-5.

According to District Superintendent of Police Rajendra Shrestha, the armed robbers took to firing when the locals tried to shoo them off from the village. Yadav died on the spot.

The robbers entered the village at midnight and were trying to rob cattle from Yadav’s neighbourhood.

Meanwhile, police said they are looking for the robbers.
