Abducted Mahottari teachers freed
MAHOTTARI, FEB 28 -
Two teachers who were abducted from Raghunathpur of the district last Sunday have been freed in a neighouring Indian village.
Kaushal Kumar Yadav and Ram Punit Yadav, who were freed from Bathuwara of the Indian state of Bihar on Saturday night came to the contact of their families and the police on Sunday.
They told the police that some unidentified gunmen wearing mask had kidnapped and taken them to the Indian side.
The colleagues of the two said they paid Rs. 400,000 as ransom to free them.
Meanwhile, police claimed that the two were freed on the joint effort of Nepali Police and Indian Police.
