DHANKUTA, FEB 20 - Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong said on Saturday that the Maoist themselves are responsible for the delay in integration and management of the Maoist combatants.
Speaking at a programme organized by CPN-UML Dhunkuta district committee today, the peace minister said the government has been working substantially for the integration and management of the Maoist combatants in the slated timeframe.
The integration process will be concluded before the new constitution takes shape, Chemjong said.
Minister Chemjong accused the Maoist of centralising its activities in power game rather than being serious on statute drafting and establishment of peace in the country.
Likewise, UML Dhunkuta district committee chairman Rajendra Rai and lawmaker Durga Linkha Rai stressed on the need for public pressure to press the political parties on the constitution writing process.
