Indian Embassy ''surprised at Info Minister’s remark''
KATHMANDU, FEB 16 - The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on Tuesday expressed its astonishment over Information Minister’s statement regarding the murder of media entrepreneur Jamim Shah.
Speaking at a programme in Rajbiraj on Monday, Information and Communications Minister Shanker Pokharel had said that media entrepreneur Shah's murder was the work of some 'international force'.
“The Embassy is surprised at Information Minister Shanker Pokharel's statement that stated that Jamim Shah was killed due to the tension between India and Pakistan”, read a press statement issued today by the Indian Embassy.
“No statement to substantiate the reported statement by the Minister has been provided by the government of Nepal to this Embassy,” added the statement.
