MAHOTTARI, FEB 09 - All activities at the Mahottari Land Revenue Office were brought to a complete halt on Tuesday protesting against the abduction of the office chief.
Lal Dev Ray, the head of the office was kidnapped while he was returning home at Sonusada from office on his motorcycle (JA 1 Pa 5914) after his duty. An unidentified armed group kidnapped him near Parsa Chowk at around 6:30 pm, informed District Police Office.
His motorcycle has been recovered from a school in Parsa Bazaar and handed over to Roy’s son Bhushan, said Pipara Area Police Office.
Police said it has intensified the search for Ray.
