BHAIRAHAWA, FEB 09 - Indians staged a demonstration against UCPN (Maoist) and Nepal government at the bordering Indian town of Sunauli on Monday.

Some 150 protesters shouted slogans against Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepal government and burnt an effigy of the Maoist chief.

They also shouted anti-China slogans.  The Maoists posted pamphlets in border areas as part of the party’s "campaign for national sovereignty". In the poster, a hand holding the Indian flag snatches Nepal and encroaches on Nepali territory. The pamphlets also demand scrapping of all the unequal bilateral treaties and agreements.
