SARLAHI, JAN 25 - Police arrested nine persons along with arms from two different parts of Sarlahi on Sunday night.

According to the District Police Office (DPO), five persons were nabbed while they were asking for money to Dhirendra Yadav of Manpur- 3 at gunpoint. They are Surendra Mahato, 19, of Manpur-3, Sunil Kumar Yadav ,20,  of Shreepur-1, Madhukant Chaudharu ,18,  of Shreepur-7, Surendra Yadav ,19, of Shreepur-4 and Pankaj Kumar Das ,18, of Barhathawa-5. A patrol team from the office has nabbed them from Harkatawa. One home-made pistol and four rounds of bullet were seized from them.

Similarly, police have arrested Nabin Kumar Paswan, Ramji Yadav and Sunil Yadav of Hajariya- 9 and Ram Prabesh Yadav of Sundarpur on the charge of kidnapping a 13-year-old boy and demanding ransom to the family for his release.

According to Inspector Lal Babu Yadav, they were caught in possession of two home-made pistols and four rounds of bullet.
