KATHMANDU, JAN 20 - UCPN-Maoist on Wednesday expressed objection to the remarks of Defence Minister Bidhya Devi Bhandari on army integration.
Issuing a press release, the party objected to Bhandari’s remarks that Maoist combatants cannot be integrated into the national army and that she would not let any decision of the PM-led army integration special committee to integrate the Maoist fighters.
The party said Bhandari’s remarks is open challenge to the comprehensive peace agreement and that her remarks were a part of counter-revolutionary conspiracy to push the country into civil war.
