Maoist nationalism slogan is drama only: Khadka
PARBAT, JAN 12 - Central member of Nepali Congress (NC) Khum Bahadur Khadka said on Tuesday that the slogan of nationalism raised by the Unified CPN (Maoist) is a drama.
Speaking at a programme here in Parbat district this morning, he said the Maoists, after their agenda of civilian supremacy didn't work, have raised the slogan of nationalism. "This will just mislead the people," he said.
Referring to another context, he said the President stoked controversy by speaking on the constitution. "He (Dr. Ram Baran Yadav) shouldn't have spoken on such issue."
Saying the new constitution will be drafted on the stipulated time, he said, "If that couldn't happen, another six-month time can be added only after imposing emergency."
There is no need of the recently formed High-Level Political Mechanism, he said. "The three leaders (Girija Prasad Koirala, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Jhalanath Khanal) alone can do nothing," he added.
