HLPM can't end political deadlock: Oli
ILAM, JAN 12 - Senior CPN-UML leader KP Oli claimed on Tuesday that the High Level Political Mechanism (HLPM) that has been formed without holding discussion can’t end the political deadlock.
Saying that the HLPM has been formed without necessary discussions among the political parties, Oli charged that the mechanism is not formed for the country but for personal benefits.
He also said the working strategies, legality, scope and the time period of the HLPM is unclear.
Talking to journalists on his way to the UML Panchthhar convention in Ilam, Oli claimed that there are no differences among the leaders within his party.
He said the UML is a democratic party and it has been exercising it.
Oli opined that the new constitution will be drafted within the stipulated time.
Also on the occasion, Oli said the twin task of drafting the new constitution and ending the political deadlock should be taken forward hand in hand.
He also urged the UCPN (Maoist) to move ahead by giving up their ultra leftist mindset and policies.
