MJF announces fresh stir against govt
KATHMANDU, JAN 07 - The Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) on Thursday annouced its protest programmes to press for their demands.
Organising a press conference at the party headquarters today, the MJF unveild its protest programmes which is due to start from Jan. 16.The party Central Committee (CC) meeting held late on Tuesday had finalised its protest programmes.
The preliminary phase of protests includes carrying out rallies and demonstrations in the headquarters', picketing district administrations, organising assemblies and submitting memorandum to draw the attention of the government towards their demands.
The MJF also informed that it will intensify its protest from the second phase of protests if the government continue to remain insensitive towards its demands and do not take up measures to implement the past accords.
Concluding that the government ignored the implementation of the agreement reached with the Madhes-based parties in the past, the MJF CC had decided to launch protest programmes.
The MJF also informed that the programme will also be focused on drawing the attention of major parties including the Nepali Congress, the UML and the Maoists have been moving backward from their previous commitment regarding Madhes and federalism issues.
