MJF, Maoists discuss Jha's oath row
KATHMANDU, DEC 29 - Leaders of the main opposition party UCPN (Maoist) and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) discussed on Tuesday to sort out the controversy surrounding Paramananda Jha, whose vice presidential post was rendered defunct after his refusal to abide by the Supreme Court order to retake the oath in Nepali or be dismissed.
MJF Chairman Upendra Yadav and leader JP Gupta met Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Maoist central office in Koteshwor and urged to assist in resolving the oath row.
It has been learnt that the meeting decided to settle Jha’s oath row after the seventh amendment of the interim constitution.
