Cop fires at FSU Veep

GULMI, DEC 20 - A policeman of Dhurkot Police Station opened fire at Free Students Union (FSU) vice-president of Dhuhrkot Multiple campus on Saturday night.

FSU vice-president, Gita Bhandari, 22, sustained bullet injury in her waist in the shoot out.

Injured Bhandari is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Tamghas.

The cop identified as Lokendra Dasaudi came to Bhandari’s home and indiscriminately fired five rounds of bullet.

Dasaudi, who fled the scene with weapon along with 50 rounds of bullet was found injured at a bamboo bush about one kilometer away from the incident site.

According to Police Inspector Rajesh Kumar Adhikari, Dasaudi shot twice at himself after the incident.

However, the reason behind the shoot out has yet to be ascertained.
