DHANUSA, DEC 19 - Nepali Congress (NC) acting president Sushil Koirala on Saturday said the party would soon come up with its official stance on the federal states. Speaking at a press conference organised by the Dhanusa chapter of Press Union Koirala said, “NC faced many criticisms on the issue, now we will bring out our official stance.”

Earlier, UCPN (Maoist) vice chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had alleged the NC of not having desire for state restructuring.

Accusing the Maoists of inviting civil war by declaring autonomous states Koirala further alleged the Maoists of making a mockery of peace process and lawful nation.

Furthermore, alleging that the Maoist’s autonomy programmed has terminated the spirit of the Constituent Assembly he said, “The Maoists are trying to enforce single-party rule in the name of civilian supremacy.”
