DHADING, DEC 17 - Two persons have been killed and two others seriously injured when a bus collided head –on with a van at Pida VDC-2, Galaudi of Dhading district along the east west highway Thursday morning.

The injured have been taken to the capital for treatment.

The Maruti van (Na 1 Ja 2375) and the passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 475) collided at around 4:45 am this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Bablu Gurung of Rupandehi and Dal Bahadur Thapa, police informed.

Gurung was the driver of the van.

Likewise, a person was killed when a tractor (Lu 2 Ta 1497) heading for Gulmi from Palpa met with an accident at Jogipani in Tamgha-Tansen road section last night.

The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kharel, 22, of Rupandehi, police said.

In another accident, a bicycle rider was killed after a truck rammed him in Birgunj on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Jeet Prasad Poudel, 26, of local Padma Pokhari VDC-1, died on spot after being hit by the speeding truck last evening.
