Cop asks journo to delete photograph
KHOTANG, DEC 15 - Federation of Nepali Journalists, Khotang Chapter, submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal through Chief District Officer (CDO) in Dhankuta demanding immediate action to those who attacked Rukum-based journalist Tika Bista and death threat to Dhankuta based journalist Rajesh Rai.
The media persons also submitted memorandum to various political parties in the district. They also showed objection against the act of the district based government offices, which tried to hide the fact about the incidents, and demanded action to them as well.
The chapter protested the police's act of deleting photographs taken by Kantipur correspondent Damber Singh Rai. It also showed objection over misbehaviors of the police against local Journalist Saindra Rai at Lamidanda airport.
Police Inspector Shyam Babu Oliya urged Rai to delete the photograph of Dhan Maya Rai of Diplung-6, taken at police office. Dhan Maya came in search of her missing daughter. However, Rai refused to delete the photograph.
