Big three agrees to finalise joint resolution motion
KATHMANDU, DEC 14 - The leaders of three major political parties on Monday decided to finalise the draft of the joint resolution motion to end political crisis.
The meeting of the top leaders from UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML this morning decided to finalise the draft prepared by the task force following discussions on Tuesday.
According to UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel, the leaders have almost reached to an understanding over the draft on joint resolution motion.
Likewise, UML leader and joint resolution motion task force member Bharat Mohan Adhikari, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, NC President Girija Prasad Koirala and UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal have decided to finalise the draft after discussing the 'debated' words.
"Today we informed the leaders about the agreements forged till now and the debated words in the draft, however, we failed to finalise it today due to the prime minister and Maoist chairman's busy schedule", Adhikari said.
Home Minister Bhim Rawal who was also present at the meeting said the task force has proposed for a constitution amendment.
The meeting was also attended by Dev Gurung, NC acting president Sushil Koirala, Ramchandra Poudel, among other senior leaders.
