SUNSARI, DEC 07 - Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM), an armed outfit active in the southern plains, split up after a mere seven months of unification. It has expelled its chairman Jwala Singh also.
The party has expelled its Chairman Jwala Singh for the failure to lead the JTTM and his self-centric activities, a JTTM leader said.
JTMM and Madhesi Mukti Tigers (MMT) had merged into a single party-- Janatantrik Madhes Mukti Tigers Tarai (JMMTT)-- with an aim to launch armed revolution in mid April.

The politburo comprises of Gajraj, Kranti Singh, Thufan Singh, Bidhrohi, Bhagat Singh, among others. All of them were were previously associated with different organisations.

Therea are about 50 organisations active in the Tarai region advocating Madhesi issues.
Rights activist Rajendra Pokharel, who has closely observed the Madhes agitation, said that the underground parties split chiefly because of economic reasons.
