Big parties fueling instability: DPM Gachhadar
MAHENDRANAGAR, NOV 29 -
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Physical Planning and Works Bijaya Kumar Gachhader accused the big parties of trying to create instability in the country by spreading the rumor about the change in government.
Speaking at a press meet organised in Mahendranagar today, the Deputy said the major parties tried to increase confusion by circulating the propaganda about the change in government leadership.
When asked about the much-hyped Singapore agreement between Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, DPM Gachhadar claimed that the two top political figures only discussed formation of High Level Political Mechanism. He, however, asserted that the meeting between the NC president and the Maoist chairperson couldn’t change the government.
Gachhadar said the country would plunge into a serious crisis if the new constitution could not be drafted within the stipulated time. He further said that the statute must be drafted at any cost by extending the deadline by six months.
