SUNSARI, Nov 29 - Senior UCPN (Maoist) leader CP Gajurel on Sunday said that the party launched the agitation to press the government for forging consensus.

Saying that there is no alternative to press the government for addressing the issue of civilian supremacy, the Maoist leader said that his party has been maintaining flexibility for consensus.

He accused the Nepali Congress (NC) of harboring an ill intention to dissolve the Constituent Assembly (CA).

While speaking at a press conference in Itahari today, Gajurel remarked that the CPN-UML is a party without any concrete policy and the NC does not wish to draft the new constitution through the CA.

Gajurel also made it clear that no agreement was reached in Singapore between the Maoist Chair and NC President.
