POKHARA, NOV 21 - Government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Shanker Pokharel Saturday said that there is no alternative to consensus for resolving the ongoing political deadlock.
Speaking at a programme organised in Pokhara today, Minister Pokharel reminded that the Nepalese have a tradition of striking consensus at the end, no matter how difficult a situation.
While saying that an environment of trust can be forged amid differences, Minister Pokharel expected that the agitating Unified CPN (Maoist) will come to understanding.
Minister Pokharel charged that the current situation of political imbroglio is a result of Maoists noncommittal to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
