Taekwondo players selected for SAG
Kathmandu, Nov 18 - A total of ten taekwondo players--six men and four female--have been selected to represent Nepal in the 11th SAG scheduled to be held in Dhaka later this year.Kumar Manandhar, silver winner in the 10th SAG, got selected in the men's 63 kg weight group.
Manandhar defeated Ganesh Khadka in the final to book his berth in the squad. Deepak Bista, who has a hat-trick to his name with back to back gold meld in SAG will compete in below 87 kg.
Likewise, Ashish Maharjan, Bharat Bohora and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha qualified in below 68 kg, below 74 kg and in below 80 kg weight group.
In the women's category, Yan Kumari Chaulagain will represent Nepal in below 46 kg while Sabita Maharjan, Ayasha Shakya and Manita Shahi will compete in below 49, below 53 and below 57kg weight group respectively.
