KATHMANDU, NOV 16 - The Nepali cricket team, which is in Delhi to play practice matches as a part of their preparations for the Asian Cricket Association (ACC) T-20 Trophy from Nov. 22-30 in UAE, lost both games to Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Sunday.

Nepal played two T-20 matches against DDCA on the day which they lost by the margins of 26 runs and seven wickets respectively. In the first match, Gyanendra Malla's knock of 51 runs off 42 balls went in vain. Chasing a total of 165 runs, Nepal were bundled out for 138 runs. Dipendra Chaudhary added 26 runs for Nepal whereas Paras Khadka remained unbeaten at 37 off 25 deliveries.

Earlier, Ankur Jhulka and Aditya made 54 and 36 runs respectively as DDCA set a total of 165 runs at the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Paras Khadka took two wickets.

The second match was worse comparing the first one. No batsman from Nepal could fire runs. Contributions from Paresh Lohani, who made a slow 26 runs off 50 balls and 17 runs from Mehaboob Alam  was not enough for Nepal to set a comparative target for DDCA. Nepal made a modest score of 82 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 83 runs, Sawari Khan's 41 off 35 balls and Punit Mehra's 22 off 18 balls helped the home team reach the target in 12.3 overs and seven wickets in hand. Binod Das and Basanta Regmi took a wicket a piece.

Nepal play their first match of the ACC T-20 against Malaysia at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Nov. 22.
