Two private schools shut due to flu, fever
POKHARA, Nov 16 - Two private schools in Pokhara have been shut down after many of its students suffered from common flu and fever.
Sagarmatha Niketan Higher Secondary School located at Nayabazzar and Hill Point Boarding School at Matepani will remain closed from Tuesday.
The principals of the two schools said that they had decided to shut down the schools as most of the students were suffering from flu and fever.
Only few days ago, 15 new cases of AH1N1, commonly known as swine flu, were confirmed in Kaski district.
Sagarmatha Niketan's principal Dilip Sharma said," As nearly 200 students and few teachers have suffered from flu and fever; we have decided to shut down the school until Friday."
Likewise, Vice-principal of Hill Point Boarding School said that almost 20 per cent of the students did not come to school due to fever and that the school would be closed for the next two days.
