Dozens injured in YCL-YF clash

DANG, OCT 25 - More than a dozen people have been injured and five vehicles vandalised in a clash ensued between the cadres of CPN-UML affiliated Youth Force (YF) and Unified CPN (Maoist) affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) at Bhanuchowk in Ghorahi on Sunday.

The clash ensued after the YCL attacked the vehicle YF activists were traveling in. The YF activists were on their way to a training organised by the UML in Tulsipur.

Seven YF cadres, four YCL and a government officer have been injured in the ruckus.

The injured have been identified as All Nepal Farmers’ Union - Revolutionary district chairman Baburam Chaudhary, Maoist Ghorahi In-charge and others.

Likewise, YF district coordinator Manohar Budathoki, UML district member Sramani Belbase, YF Purandhara coordinator Rudra Joshi, Arjun Nepali of Hapur, Bhimsen Khadka and Bhim Bahadur Jaisi have been injured in the clash.

District health officer Manoj Shrestha has sustained injuries.

The YCL also vandalised the vehicles with the registration numbers Lu 1 Ja 1016, Ra 1 Ja 239, Ra 1 Ja 690 and Na 1 Kha 9310 belonging to the YF.
