BAITADI, OCT 15 - The death toll of Wednesday’s bus accident at Baitadi has reached eight.

One Padam Raj Ojha of Stri-kedar VDC succumbed to injuries on the way to Pithouragadh, India on Thursday.

Seven people died and 35 were injured, 10 critically, when the Dhangadhi-bound bus (Na 2 Kha 7547) skidded off the road at Dehimandu VDC and fell some 150 metres below yesterday. The injured includes cricket players, who were taking part in a cricket tournament at Patan.

The deceased include Maansingh Dhami of Gajati-6, Baitadi, Suresh Dhami, driver Prakash Kumar Mahar of Dashrath Municipality, Karan Chand of Giridanda, Kishore Raj Joshi and Ram Ghale.

A passenger said the driver let his friend drive the bus leading to an accident.
