KATHMANDU, SEP 24 - Shreelochan Rajopadhyaya of Nayapatrika won the Subhakamana Cup Bowling Championship by beating the contest participated by about 36 journalists. The event was organised by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami on Wednesday.

Rajopadhyaya scored 166 points to take first place ahead of Mahesh Acharya of the Himalayan Times' 150 points.  Kantipur Daily's Ajay Hamal stood third with 136 points while last year's champion Devendra Subedi of Nepal Television had to content at fourth with 132 points.

Likewise, the other players who made to the top eight were Sundar Shrestha , Nirajan Rajbansi, Niranjan Adhikari and Pramodh Joshi respectively. 

Sarita Shrestha won the ladies title ahead of Rachya Thapa. The winners in the both the categories received a carpet, courtesy of Deepak Harsha Bajracharya, President of the Nepal Judo Association.
